Especially thanks for the OD clip. I enjoyed this blast from the past so much.

2 things occurred to me as I watched. First, although Rahkomo/Kokko (one of my favourite teams) were given lower Composition scores, we sure don't see any Gritschuk/Platov ODs being made into compsulories :)

Second, that this is the most recent addition to the compulsories if I remember right (I think Klimova/Ponomarenko's Golden Waltz is the one before it). I think we're due for another.... and I would love it if the next compulsory were taken from Weaver/Pojé's Argentine Tango. They could call it the Northern Tango. :)delta888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4831890222733213821.post-19824605955257228512014-01-29T23:20:15.766-08:002014-01-29T23:20:15.766-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Johnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07784363620122382328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4831890222733213821.post-55422966165855277762014-01-22T03:46:37.937-08:002014-01-22T03:46:37.937-08:00Yes, thank you for using P/B to explain the Finnst...Yes, thank you for using P/B to explain the Finnstep keypoints. They do not use their toe picks to build speed and fill in their choreography like Davis White. The judges just do not care about this anymore. a shame. I know these things are supposed to be reflected in GOE, but I don't think they are. If they were Pechalat/Bourzat would be scoring much better on their Finnstep sequences. They bring the fundamentals of the old system with them into this new system, but they are not properly rewarded for it. I feel like dancing is no longer important in ice dance.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4831890222733213821.post-69738401199002476422013-12-07T11:53:28.827-08:002013-12-07T11:53:28.827-08:00I wish the judges would mark what they see taking ...I wish the judges would mark what they see taking place ON THE ICE for all the teams.
